Customize Your Team Jerseys

Embroidery Works Plus is equipped to help you customize your team jerseys with your team logo and player numbers and/or names.  With several inexpensive options there is no reason why any team can't look their best.  You can focus on the teams' "game" and we'll focus on the teams' "look".

4 Ways to Decorate Your Teams Jerseys

We can decorate your teams' jerseys in any of the following four ways or combo thereof:

  • Tackle Twill
  • Screen Printing
  • Heat Transfers
  • Sublimation

Tackle Twill

Tackle Twill of a players number on their JerseyTackle twill is the applying of "twill" or some other fabric via embroidery.  Opposed to embroidering the entire image, embroidery is limited to 'tacking" the twill down to the jersey.  In many cases, you can also add a "tail" under the team logo and apply custom embroidery to this segment of the fabric.  This is especially useful when you use tackle twill to apply a schools' name for instance onto the jersey or hoodie and then add the word "Basketball" in the tail part to signify which sport the uniforms refer to.  As indicated previously, tackle twill has really taken off being applied to hoodies, sweats and the like.

Screen Printing

When doing enough jerseys, screen printing is a great option.  It adhears well to most of the jersey fabrics without peeling.  Using multiple colors can also be less expensive than getting a custom heat transfer say for the front of the jersey.

Heat Transfers

Heat Transfers are an inexpensive way to outfit a team or club with some of the sharpest graphics you will ever find at an affordable price.  Take a look through our Team Jersey Design catalog where you will find many ideas for your team's special look.  Using these heat transfer designs, you can combine several items such as a basic format combined with a sports ball for your team's logo.

Also make sure and check out the various numbers and name formats if you plan on adding them to your jersey.

Sublimation

Sublimated Jersey Created Using Design ToolSublimation only works with 100% polyester jerseys.  The full color image is actually burnt into the polyester.  This is designed to be applied to any white part of the jersey.  So if considering the full color sublimation option, make sure and choose a white body of the jersey.

The advantage of sublimation is you can apply your teams multi-color image or logo onto these jerseys.  There is not additional cost for how many colors like you have with screen printing.  With sublimation your cost is based on how many places on the jersey you put images, such as the front, back, etc.  Turnaround time for sublimation takes about 2 weeks so plan ahead if this is the option you want to use.
